Puerto Rico Wine & Meals Pageant to Launch with ‘Taste of the Big League’ Occasion in San Juan

Puerto Rico Wine & Meals Pageant, offered by the Puerto Rico Tourism Firm, is ready to deliver an all-new culinary and cultural expertise from April 3-6, 2025. The countdown kicks off with the inaugural “Taste of the Big League” occasion on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, hosted at La Concha Resort in San Juan. Led by celebrated Chef Mario Pagán, alongside World Collection champions Carlos Beltrán and Carlos Delgado, this unique preview occasion will showcase a stellar mixture of Puerto Rico’s prime cooks and all-star baseball legends born on the island. Visitors can savor distinctive dishes and drinks from expert winemakers and mixologists whereas having fun with the presence of main league favorites.
“I am so excited to be a part of the Puerto Rico Wine & Food Festival and collaborate with such an incredible group of chefs, mixologists, and friends,” says Chef Pagán. “This is a chance for all of us to come together and celebrate the rich, diverse flavors of Puerto Rican cuisine and the homegrown talent that makes our food scene so special.”

The all-star roster for “Taste of the Big League” consists of former Yankees pitcher Javier Vázquez, Purple Sox supervisor and World Collection champion Alex Cora, Nationwide League Rookie of the Yr Geovany Soto, three-time all-star Carlos Baerga, and World Collection winners Alexis Rios, Carlos Delgado, and Carlos Beltrán. Proceeds will profit native causes, together with Delgado’s Additional Bases basis and the Carlos Beltrán Baseball Academy.

Main as much as the Puerto Rico Wine & Meals Pageant, “Taste of the Big League” units the stage for a worldwide celebration of Puerto Rico’s vibrant culinary scene, mixing native flavors with worldwide influences. Pageant-goers will get pleasure from tastings from prime wineries and interactive experiences, resembling golf and pickleball tournaments. With a concentrate on philanthropy, the pageant helps native culinary training by means of Puerto Rico Eats for Good, providing aspiring cooks mentorship and hands-on coaching to foster the following wave of expertise in Puerto Rico’s culinary arts.
