AASA elects its Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson for 2024-25

The incoming Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Airways Affiliation of Southern Africa’s (AASA) have been elected on the physique’s 54th Annual Common Assembly and can serve for the following 12 months.
Ms. Lulu Rasebotsa has been re-elected as AASA’s Chairperson. She is the Common Supervisor of Air Botswana, with Interim CEO of South African Airways, Prof. John Lamola, chosen because the Deputy Chair.
“Lulu and John will present steering and assist to AASA in our ongoing engagements with governments, tariff, licensing and security regulators, airport operators, air navigation service suppliers and different function gamers in our advocacy work.
Our purpose is that coverage, rules and requirements promote aggressive, inexpensive, economically and environmentally sustainable, safe and protected air transport with complete intra-African connectivity,” stated AASA CEO, Aaron Munetsi.
AASA’s annual normal meeting was hosted by FlySafair and held in Paarl close to Cape City, South Africa.
It was attended by over 200 delegates representing airways, airports, air navigation and climate companies, plane and engine producers, business suppliers and different stakeholders.
