Jennifer Doig Takes the Helm as Tourism Australia’s New Regional GM for South & Southeast Asia

Tourism Australia has introduced the appointment of Jennifer Doig as the brand new Regional Common Supervisor for South and Southeast Asia. In her new function, Doig will oversee commerce and client advertising actions throughout key markets together with India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Based mostly in Singapore, Doig will start her function on September 16, 2024, reporting to Andrew Hogg, Govt Common Supervisor, Jap Markets & Aviation at Tourism Australia.
Doig brings over 20 years of Asia-based advertising expertise to the function, having beforehand labored with Dubai Tourism as Director of World Campaigns, in addition to international manufacturers like Sony Photos Leisure, Turner Broadcasting, Ogilvy, and Edelman.
Andrew Hogg said, “We are excited to welcome Jennifer at a critical time as we work towards restoring tourism to pre-pandemic levels across South and Southeast Asia. Encouragingly, India has already surpassed 2019 levels of visitation, and markets like Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia are steadily recovering.”
Doig expressed her pleasure about becoming a member of Tourism Australia, saying, “Tourism Australia sets the industry standard for marketing excellence. I am thrilled to work with the team to strengthen Australia’s reputation as a premier leisure and events destination and to help boost visitation from this strategically important region.”
In 2019, practically 2 million guests from South and Southeast Asia traveled to Australia. By 2028, this quantity is predicted to exceed 2.7 million.
