The Southeastern Louisiana College School of Enterprise has obtained a beneficiant $7,500 donation from the Louisiana Journey Affiliation (LTA) by way of the Louisiana Tourism Fund. As a significant commerce affiliation, LTA is instrumental in enhancing Louisiana’s tourism sector by way of advocacy, schooling, and promotion. Tourism serves as a key financial driver for the state. In keeping with MMGY World, Louisiana welcomed 43 million home and worldwide guests in 2023, reflecting a rise of 420,000 in comparison with 2022.
These guests contributed a complete of $18.1 billion in spending in 2023, marking a 5.4 % rise from the earlier 12 months. Moreover, customer expenditures generated $1.9 billion in state and native taxes, successfully saving every family in Louisiana $1,098 yearly in taxes required to maintain present providers.
Acknowledging the importance of investing in academic initiatives, LTA has determined to help the Southeastern School of Enterprise to boost consciousness about profession alternatives within the hospitality and tourism sectors.
