The Southeastern Louisiana College School of Enterprise has obtained a beneficiant $7,500 donation from the Louisiana Journey Affiliation (LTA) by way of the Louisiana Tourism Fund. As a significant commerce affiliation, LTA is instrumental in enhancing Louisiana’s tourism sector by way of advocacy, schooling, and promotion. Tourism serves as a key financial driver for the state. In keeping with MMGY World, Louisiana welcomed 43 million home and worldwide guests in 2023, reflecting a rise of 420,000 in comparison with 2022.
These guests contributed a complete of $18.1 billion in spending in 2023, marking a 5.4 % rise from the earlier 12 months. Moreover, customer expenditures generated $1.9 billion in state and native taxes, successfully saving every family in Louisiana $1,098 yearly in taxes required to maintain present providers.
